The perfect camping spot | Baja trip | Day 8

The first day of 2019 brought many great memories. Vacations were almost over, so we turned towards home. And managed to find an amazing camping spot that we will definitely revisit in the near future.

The usual morning, the usual breakfast - you know it all by now. We stalked hummingbirds for a bit, helped the neighbours change their tire, said our goodbyes and hit the road.

Once again, it was beautiful and just a bit hazardous.

Spotted this guy during a bathroom break.

Keep in mind that there again will be little to no gas stations and even available bathrooms on that road. Load up on supplies, go pee and if you see a person in need, please stop and make sure they are all right.

Initially, we were planning on camping near El Rosario, but when we saw it, we decided that it wasn't very safe, so we left the city and began to search for good camping places outside of it.

That area has many little roads that you won't find on the map. A lot of them lead to perfectly campable places. The one we decided to approach was either La Loberta itself or a campground near it.

It was open and empty. Judging by the state, I'd say it's not a free campground. It might be one of those places that only charge during summer when there are a lot of tourists. Nobody showed up to charge us.

The path to the actual campground was very sandy and the weather was not promising. In fear of getting stuck, we decided to camp right in the entrance.

Had dinner.

And headed down to the beach.

The rocks make a unique thunder-like sound with every wave.

And the scenery itself looks a little bit like a set of a movie.

We did some running around.

Some climbing and picture taking.

Did some stretching.

Did some falling. I didn't realize how hard it will be to hold this position, which... as a person, who can't even stand on two legs without falling somehow, I should have anticipated this problem.

Flattering, isn't it? Just a picture of grace.

The sun was setting and we nearly had a pooping accident (#pottytrainingproblems) so we started preparing to go to sleep.

My husband suddenly decided that he wants to make some tea, which is completely out of character.

And that's about it.

Thank you for reading.
