First Aid Kit

Here is a short list of things we have in our first aid kit. Hopefully, it'll help you make yours more complete. If we forgot something that you consider a 'must', please let us know.
1. Rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide for disinfecting wounds.
2. Elastic bandages, arm sling and an ankle brace for securing different sprained muscles.
3. Some kind of cold and hot cream for topical pain relief.
4. Antibacterial numbing spray.
5. Mosquito repellant. They can ruin any vacation.
6. Pepto-Bismol. Especially when travelling to a new place where you intend to try new types of food.
7. Omeprazole, Baking soda and Picot in powder. All of those help with gastritis and acid reflux. We love spicy food, sour fruits and wine, all of which can trigger an occasional discomfort in the stomach. Honestly, it's one of the most annoying pains there are.
8. Advil and Aspirin with caffeine. Always useful.
9. Nasal spray, Vicks inhaler and hard candy to relieve sore throat and nasal congestion.
10. Cutivate cream for irritated or itchy skin.
11. Vitacilina for preventing superficial skin infections from cuts and burns.
12. Arnica ointment to help with pain and swelling (bruises, sprains etc.).
13. Neutral soap. My husband and daughter both have atopic dermatitis in reaction to stress, dust and sometimes sweat. Scented soap sometimes can worsen the condition, so in cases of that we always bring along a neutral one.
14. Tylenol, Claritin and a thermometer for our daughter. Kids can have these one-day colds from time to time that go away in 24 hours. It has happened to us at least twice in times of travel, so her medicine is always travelling with us.
15. Dramamine for motion sickness. We rarely use it, but it's nice to have just in case.
16. Bite & sting kit. There are a lot of venomous snakes and insects in Central America. Getting as much of the venom out before you get to the hospital can be crucial. Again, better be safe than sorry. I also want to get an epinephrine shot or pen just in case one of us or somebody else has a severe allergic reaction. Those can really take you by surprise. Since we haven't been bitten by all types of bees, wasps and ants, I'd rather have one just in case somebody turns out to be allergic.
17. Carmex.
18. Band-aids. I even carry them in my wallet and multiple backpack pockets. Probably, the most used item of all.

I think this is all we have for now. It's spread across three boxes. They are made with scissors and tape - very sophisticated. Each one fits somewhere underneath the wooden boards that make our bed in the car. Some of the medicine was transferred into smaller containers for a better fit.
Thank you for reading.
Don't forget your first aid kit when you go camping. Be safe and healthy. And have a great day. This one is a must.
