7 things I miss about not being pregnant

My last post was about things I love about pregnancy, so I thought it would only be fair if this one was about things that I miss about not being pregnant.
Now I am 21 weeks along and I absolutely love it. Seriously, if you are in your first trimester and you hate it and think that there is no way you could do this for 9 month, just wait a little. Second trimester is magical. Honestly, I would get pregnant again just for the second trimester. With that in mind, there are still a couple of things that I can’t wait to do again.
1.       Not giving a damn about food ingredients. You know that pregnant women can’t eat raw things or soft cheeses, which haven’t really been proven to harm the baby, but just in case they don’t recommend you to do it. So every time I go to the restaurant with my husband and his family I always have to be the person, that says “I can’t eat that”, “This fish has too much mercury, it’s not recommended for pregnant women”, “Can you give me this, but without raw egg”, “This meat is a little bloody, I can’t eat it” and etc.  Let me just tell you that whenever somebody does that it is extremely annoying for all the people around, even if he/she has a great excuse: allergy, pregnancy or if he/she is a vegetarian. Therefore, I feel guilty and uncomfortable doing that. Also, it is very disappointing to find out that you can’t eat something no matter how much you want it.
2.       Eating my favorite things again. I am a big sushi and blue cheese lover, so not eating them is a big challenge.
3.       Drinking a cold beer on a hot day. I haven’t craved alcohol as much as I thought I would, but August is one of the hottest months here in Mexico, also we just moved into a new house and that requires a lot of work. With that in mind one of the most tempting things after a hard hot day is a good cold beer.
4.       Not having any cravings. Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying my cravings. They have only one inconvenient side: if I ate something as much as two times in a row, I don’t want it anymore. For example, if I eat a steak, for the next few days I will only want vegetables and fruits, then I will get tired of them too and grains and cheese will become desirable and so on and on. In order to keep my stomach happy I have to buy way more food in the supermarket and then try to have as many different dishes as possible. It is expensive and exhausting.
5.       Not being as emotional. This one is particularly about tears. Any slight excitement or happiness and I want to cry. My husband and I already got used to this, but a lot of our male friends feel pretty uncomfortable and awkward.
6.       Not peeing for a long time. I am naturally a very lazy person, so I just think that peeing is taking a lot of my energy and time away.
7.       Eating all the junk food I want. I love eating healthy, in fact I could easily eat only fruits and vegetables with soups for weeks, but whenever I want something bad like pizza or sweets or some French fries, I never restrict myself. And this has been working fine, except now I feel bad if I eat unhealthy, like I am not being a good mother.
So, since there are a lot of things that I can’t wait to do again I made a little list that I think I deserve after giving birth and breast feeding: a cup of wine with some sushi and raw seafood followed by a giant pizza and some blue cheese.Anyways, do you miss anything about not being pregnant? Do you make silly lists of things that you want after your baby comes? Let me know in the comments.
